Title
Executive Disorder: President Trump Issues Executive Order to Cease Family Separation at Border After Denying Possibility of Executive Order
Description

President Donald Trump, on Friday of last week, spoke on the possible solutions to his administration's controversial policy of separating families at the southern border of the United States.

The President saying, in part, "[I] can't do it through an executive order."

Yesterday, however, President Trump signed into law an executive order that does just that: it stops the separating of migrant children from their parents by the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Even with the President's signing of the EO, however, reporters and officials are still vastly unsure of the condition and whereabouts of the children affected by his policy.

Late last night, a group of children were captured by cameras at New York's LaGuardia Airport, allegedly arriving from Texas. Each of the children were carrying plastic bags with "Department of Homeland Security" marked on the bags.

Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump, the President's daughter, broke her silence, yesterday, on the treatment of the affected children, tweeting her thanks to her father and calling on Congress to "act and find a lasting solution that is consistent with our shared values."

The Trump White House, however, continues to blame the Democrats and Former President Barack Obama for the initial immigration legislation.
